Diagnostic Assessments
Autism (ASD) assessment for children and young people, using recognised diagnostic approaches and multi-informant evidence, with clear feedback and a comprehensive written report.
ADHD assessment, including detailed symptom assessment across settings and careful consideration of co-occurring needs, with clear conclusions and practical recommendations for home and school.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Assessments
We provide comprehensive assessment and treatment services for children and adolescents facing mental health challenges.
Medication Clinic
Medication assessment and reviews, where clinically indicated, including discussion of benefits and risks, baseline checks, and a structured monitoring approach.
ADHD medication initiation and titration, when appropriate, with clear monitoring expectations and ongoing review, alongside liaison with primary care where shared care is suitable.

Assessment Tools
The QB Test and Conners 4 are valuable assessment tools used in evaluating attention and behavioural concerns in children and adolescents.

The QB Test is a computer-based assessment that measures attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. It combines objective measurements of a child's activity and attention with parent and teacher reports, providing a comprehensive view of a child's behaviour in various settings. This tool is particularly useful in identifying potential symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and can assist in monitoring treatment efficacy.
We offer it as part of ADHD assessment or as a standalone test. Interpretation of QB Test result and report is provided afterwards.

Conners 4, on the other hand, is a widely used rating scale that gathers information from parents, teachers, and the child themselves. It assesses a range of behavioural, emotional, and academic issues, including ADHD.
CONNERS 4 are part of our assessment for ADHD.

Accessible Remote Consultation Service
We operate a remote consultation telehealth service that provides accessible and professional support in child psychiatry. Our platform connects families with us from the comfort of their homes. We understand that navigating mental health challenges can be complex, and our goal is to offer timely and tailored advice to meet the unique needs of each child. Through secure video consultations, we facilitate a safe environment where parents and guardians can discuss their concerns openly. To ensure ease of access, our service is designed to be user-friendly, with flexible scheduling options that accommodate busy lives. We believe that early intervention is crucial in child psychiatry, and our telehealth approach allows for prompt support, helping to foster resilience and positive outcomes for children and their families.
Dr Zakynthinaki provides a complimentary communication service to her patients in which patients can contact her after their appointments via email.

We work with your insurer
Dr Athina Zakynthinaki is registered with BUPA, Aviva, Vitality, Allianz, Cigna, and WPA. For consultations, we can bill your insurer directly — please ensure you have a pre-authorisation code before booking.
For neurodevelopmental assessments (ADHD and autism), payment is made directly by families at the time of assessment. We provide a detailed invoice afterwards which you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

If you are a new patient and you are interested in ADHD medication, please complete the New Patient Registration form and submit a copy of the diagnostic report you received at the time of your child’s diagnosis. This will help us assess your child's needs effectively.
An initial consultation appointment might be required depending on the complexity of the presenting difficulties.
